NYFW | Organic by John Patrick

February 10, 2013
I'm in love. The simplicity of John Patrick's 2013 Fall collection completely captivated me; the interesting color choice really caught my attention - staying away from the typical reds, greens or oranges. I adore the palette of fawn, flamingo pink and custom grey.

Taking inspiration from popular icons such as Sable Starr and Anya Phillips, it was a mixture of brushed wool, knits and cashmere.

Take a look at this fabulous show!

And more amazing looks...

Oversized styled boyfriend jackets, midi length skirts and twin sets were some of the highlights. I specially liked the variety of relaxed pencil skirts and the contrast the cowboy boots gave some of the looks of this collection. And I loved the end of the show, that broke the palette of neutral colors and surely surprised the attendees with a range of shocking pinks.

Personally I was impressed with his use of recycled fibers, and I'm already looking forward to the next John Patrick's collection.

What about you, love it or hate it?

Until next post,
Amy.

  4. I like the blush color for spring but I'm noticing that a lot of things in Spring lines are so heavy and made out of more winter-y fabrics. Strange.
