From New York to Bombay

April 17, 2013
I've been seeing these amazing city guide posters all over Tumblr for quite a while now, and it was time to find out who they were by! These beautiful pieces of art are creation of  Swedish designer David Ehrenstråhle. Aren't they the most divine maps you've ever seen? I love their simple yet elegant design. From what I've seen in the pictures, the streets have no name. If so, I think it's a great idea! You can make your notes on the map - mark the places you visited or those that you don't want to miss when you go there. I also noticed that there are some notes in the margin; they may be the author's recommendations, that would be great!

They are limited edition and each poster is numbered, sealed and printed on 160 gram Conqueror paper; and they sell in My Guide ToToo bad I couldn't find out more about these posters.

I'm currently on the hunt of some art to hang in my room, and these would look awesome! There goes another thing added to my wishlist... But they're just too beautiful to resist, am I right?

As a side note I have to say that, if I have any Boston readers, I hope you and your families are all alright and just know that my heart and prayers go with all of you you. It was absolutely horrible finding out about what happened, I don't understand how can someone can hurt human beings that way.

P.S. - I'm currently having some problems redirecting the old url to the new domain, it's hard to explain what's going on with it. So if you happen to have any knowledge with these issues, contact me, s'il vous plaît.

Kisses,
Amy.
