Inspiration | The city of fog

April 27, 2013
Today's inspiration is about one of the most amazing places that brings millions and millions of visitors from all around the world - one that many lovingly call the greatest city in the world. The capital of England and the United Kingdom, the city of London. It has to be one of my favourite cities, no matter how many times I visit it (I've been there around four times and two of those visits lasted less than 24h) you can never get bored in this incredible place; there is always something to discover.

One of the things that make this city attractive is it's history; dating far, far back in time to the days of the Romans. And interestingly, London's most ancient core, the City of London, even retains its square-mile medieval boundaries. Other things I love about this city are how quirky their style and personalities seem to be, the weather (no, I'm not crazy) that always seems perfect to curl up in the sofa covered by a blanket and hold a cup of tea in one hand and a copy of The Great Gatsby in another; and how forget the famous London fog? - certainly a place to see.

A multitude of words and descriptions may fall in a flurry so,

“From the top of the bus she could see the vast bowl of London spreading out to the horizon: splendid shops with mannequins in the window, interesting people and already a much bigger world.”
― Julia Gregson
Amazing isn't it? If you haven't visited this place yet I highly recommend it.

Also, it seems like I've been living in London for the past few days, grey skies, pouring rain, and lots of fog... Spring come back!

Kisses,
Amy.

  1. Londo has always seemed me such a wonderful place to visit. I'd love to go there and see all the famous places and also, just sit in a cafe and drink coffee.
