All that jazz: Gatsby Mélodie

May 13, 2013
These stunning photographs taken by Ugo Richard have me doing nothing but wishing I was born back in the glorious Jazz Age; where everyone and everything seemed to be so glamorous, moving to the beat of that Louis Armstrong song while sipping champagne and getting gracefully drunk at that refined party with attendees ranging from the mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby and the attractive yet self-absorbed Daisy Buchanan to Jordan Baker and her occasionally sarcastic boyfriend Nick Carraway.

Yes, I am referring to The Great Gatsby. The film release based on F. Scott Fitzgerald book has everyone going mad, including me.

I still remember the first time I read that novel, I wasn't really amused at first, but, the more I continued the more mesmerized I felt by every word - the same way I feel when staring at these pictures.

What do you think about this editorial? Does it make you want to travel back in time and get glamorously drunk on one of those sophisticated parties? By the way, are you as excited as I am to watch the movie?

Love,
Amy.

  2. I'm so excited for the film, I love this era of fashion and I'm hoping to see the trend trickle into the high street. I only dream of seeing men wear perfectly structured suits!
