I think the fashion event that me and a million others look forward to is the fabulous Paris Haute Couture week, where only la crème de la crème of the fashion industry are able to take part. I usually find myself refreshing Style.com every 5 minutes and checking my Twitter and Instagram news feeds for a peek at the couture shows.
One of my favourite shows has to be Giambattista Valli, his Couture collections never cease to amaze me each year. The models fluttering around the runway wearing those glamorous and utterly feminine designs with exquisite emboidered flowers that we wish we could purchase to pull out our inner princess. Magnificent.
What I liked the most - apart from the poufy-pretty dresses, red-tipped pink silk flowers and delicate skirts whipped up into clouds atop sheer cascades of red or white, were the wonderful backstage (where all the magic happens) shots; where you can see how the tailors gave the frocks some final touches and get a closer view of the simple and minimal looks on the models' gorgeous faces.
What did you think about the show? Can't wait to hear your opinions!
