Bianca Jagger, the QUEEN of the WHITE SUIT

November 14, 2013
One thing I am currently loving are white trouser suits, especially when paired with black pieces to create a monochromatic look. They might be rather tomboy-ish, but you can still look utterly sophisticated. And when talking about white suits and sophistication together, it's almost impossible not to think automatically about the woman who once arrived at Studio 54 on a horse, Bianca Jagger that is - best known for being two things: one, the first wife of Rolling Stones' front man Mick Jagger and two, impeccably stylish.

Bianca has that exotic look that catches everyone's eyes no matter how crowded the room she's in is, though when you are wearing luxurious furs and gorgeous Grecian dresses, it is quite inevitable. Her signature piece, the legendary white tailored YSL trouser suit it's still considered a wardrobe staple (it is for me anyway), so who better than her to take inspiration from? I mean, if there was ever anyone to embody the chic sway of a well cut trouser suit, or the finite elegance of a neck tie then Bianca was is it. Not only does she evoke hedonistic nights of anything but clean living at the eponymous Studio 54, but she similarly brings with her the calm, basil-scented breeze of afternoons spent in the sun-bleached squares of St Tropez. So when the temperature hopefully rises again (or even now, if you're brave enough!), and the nights are looking long and mischievous - this iconic woman is undoubtedly your inspiration for creating a perfect look with your white suit.

And voilà, you are ready to amaze everyone!

  5. Yes, it would. If I ever wear one it would probably get dirty even before leaving the house! I am so obsessed with those shoes. X
