Wishing you all a merry, merry Christmas

December 24, 2013
It's perfectly cold outside (or perfectly warm & sunny for my southern hemisphere readers!), the festive atmosphere is breathable everywhere - freshly cut fir trees, roasted chestnuts; pastries, nougat, macarons and lavish chocolate cakes assaulting us from every bakery window, turkey fresh out of the oven ready to be eaten at the family gathering, afternoons in front of the fire with a Burt Bacharach or Bing Crosby record playing in the background, and the city is filled with lights making the night never-ending. It is a magical and ephemeral stage, actual size, as if it was the set of a movie with a happy ending. . .

“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.” — Norman Vincent Peale

I wish you an amazing holiday filled with love, appreciation for everything you have, and relaxation from the busy schedules you have during the rest of the year.

Make sure to be in bed early and don't forget to hang your stockings out with care. Oh, and... I hope Santa turns out to be very, very generous with you this Christmas!

  6. The photos you picked are so pretty! I'm in love, especially the one with the snow-capped evergreens. A little late, but merry Christmas to you, too!
