Dion Lee : alligator hats & mohair

February 07, 2014
Apart from the tailored silhouettes, asymmetric skirts, that dreamy leather blazer-meets-moto jacket, and just the whole workwear aesthetic in general; what I loved the most at Dion Lee's #NYFW fall '14 show were those black, mysterious cowboy-esque hats with alligator skin applications & the knitted mohair turtlenecks - either in a cropped, slightly oversized gray version, or split up at the sides and worn over lightweight and softly pleated skirts.

The whole collection was a sucession of gorgeous clean-cut pieces with Lee's usual minimalist aesthetic that I adore so much.

  1. I love that hat. Too bad the price is way beyond what I can afford. I had not seen this collection so thanks for sharing.

  5. Me too! I've never really thought about them until this collection; it seems like they would look lovely paired with any type of ankle boot. X
